Ukrainian forces have managed to regain control of about 16 sq. km in the northern part of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region, over the past few weeks, the Ukrainian Group of Forces “East“ announced in a Facebook post, quoted by Ukrinform, BTA reports.
In nearby Mirnograd, Ukrainian units are holding defensive lines and eliminating Russian units on the approaches to the city, the statement said.
It specifies that logistics in the area remains complicated and Ukrainian units are taking measures to expand logistics corridors to Mirnograd.
The fighting in the Pokrovsk and Mirnograd areas has been going on for months and is one of the main hot spots on the front.
