Turkish Intelligence Director (MIT) Ibrahim Kalin met with Palestinian group "Hamas" chief negotiator Khalil al-Haya on Monday and discussed necessary measures to move to the second phase of the Gaza peace plan, Turkish security sources quoted by Reuters said.
The sources said Kalin met with a delegation from "Hamas" in Istanbul in the context of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, and the meeting discussed steps to be taken to prevent what they called Israeli violations of the ceasefire.
Kallen and the Hamas delegation also discussed measures to be taken to resolve existing problems to move to the second phase of the plan, the sources added, without giving details.
The second phase of the Gaza peace plan includes a force of international soldiers to stabilize the coastal zone and a transitional government made up of Palestinian technocrats, DPA noted.
