Currently, the total number of Russian troops is 710-711 thousand people. The Russians are unable to significantly increase the size of their army due to constant losses, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky said in an interview with 24 Channel, Focus reports.
"We are seeing a change in the structure of war and an increase in its technological level. We are observing that war has become so technological that now drones of all types dominate the battlefield. Their quantity and quality have increased“, commented Sirsky.
According to him, the Russian forces have created a significant number of specialized battalions, regiments, brigades and continue to acquire greater capabilities.
However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have managed to increase the level of unmanned forces, which has led to a significant increase in Russian losses.

“The corps system has also begun to function, and the troops have become more manageable and more effective. The corps commanders are carrying out their actions, the management system has become simpler“, adds Sirsky.
The commander-in-chief notes that this has indeed increased Russia's losses.
"We can state what they themselves declare: that they have fulfilled the plan for manning their armed forces by 100%. According to the plan, this was a mobilization of 406 thousand people. At the same time, we can state that their losses are 410 thousand, even a little more“, emphasizes Sirsky.
At the same time, the general notes that if in the first months of 2025 there was a monthly increase in the grouping of Russian troops by about 7-9 thousand, then in the last six months the size of the grouping of Russian forces fluctuated at the level of 710-711 thousand.
"This shows that even the implementation of all their [mobilization] plans does not allow them to increase the number of troops“, notes Sirsky.
He adds that the Russians do have problems with recruiting people. “This is due to the effectiveness of our troops. "The latest figures show that the daily losses are on average 1,000-1,100 people," Sirsky said.
At the same time, he confirmed the information that the Russians are losing approximately six times more soldiers than the Ukrainians.
"It is true. This is the difference in terms of those killed. This is the total figure for all armed forces," Sirsky stressed.
