The idea of transferring $1 billion of Russia's frozen assets to the Peace Council opens up new prospects for cooperation, said Dmitry Peskov, spokesman for Russian President Vladimir Putin, TASS reported, quoted by BTA.
“It (the idea of transferring $1 billion of frozen Russian assets) undoubtedly opens up new horizons for cooperation. We'll see, there's no reaction yet“, he stressed.
Peskov stressed that US President Donald Trump called this initiative “an interesting idea“.
