US President Donald Trump threatened to sue comedian Trevor Noah, host of the 68th Grammy Awards, where his immigration policy was heavily criticized, over a reference he made to the Epstein case, Agence France-Presse reported, BTA reported.
Host Trevor Noah "incorrectly stated to me that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein's island. FALSE!!!", the president wrote on the social network "Truth Social" immediately after the ceremony in Los Angeles.
"I can't speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein's island, or anywhere near it, and until this false and defamatory statement tonight, no one has ever accused me of being there, not even the media, which is spreading false allegations," Donald Trump said.
"Noah, that complete loser, better get his facts straight and fast. "It looks like I'm going to send my lawyers to sue this poor, pathetic, untalented, and completely idiotic host and ask him for a lot of money," he threatened.
"Get ready, Noah, I'm going to have fun with you!", Trump added in conclusion.
Trevor Noah mentioned Trump and Epstein after Billie Eilish won the "Song of the Year" category, AFP notes. "There you have it, Song of the Year! Congratulations, Billie Eilish. Wow. The singer, whose real name is Benito Martinez Ocasio, said: "Before I say thank God, I'm going to say: Get out of ICE."
