Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko announced that specialists have analyzed the damage to the Darnytsia TPP, which was one of the targets of the massive Russian attack on Tuesday night. According to him, the plant has received critical damage, and its restoration will take at least two months, provided that there are no new destructive strikes.

Klitschko specified that the Darnytsia TPP provided heat supply to parts of the Darnytsia and Dneprovsky residential areas, including over 1,100 multi-storey buildings. In these homes, water was drained from the heating systems on the morning of February 3 to prevent freezing and further damage. The mayor also published a list of addresses for which, until the power plant is restored, the supply of heat is "unfortunately impossible".

Since the beginning of the year, Kiev has been subjected to four massive attacks. In three of them, all on the left bank of the Dnieper River, about 6,000 multi-storey residential buildings were left without heating. After the attack on February 3, over a thousand blocks of flats remain without heat supply, which the mayor informed about in his latest statement.
