The creation of a corps system in the Armed Forces of Ukraine has become one of the factors increasing the losses of Russian troops. The second stage of the corps reform is currently underway in the army. This was stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Sirsky, reports RBC-Ukraine, quoted by Focus.
According to him, the second stage of the corps reform is currently underway, within which the brigades are being redeployed within the respective corps so that their commands can command their own units.
The corps composition of the troops and the scaling of the units, primarily of the unmanned forces, are also being increased.
In individual corps, the battalions of unmanned systems are being transformed into regiments, and the formation of artillery brigades has been completed within the corps.
The reform also provides for strengthening the technological component, in particular, the use of ground unmanned complexes for logistics and evacuation of the wounded, which allows reducing the workload of personnel and reducing losses.
Within the framework of the formation of The corps have already transferred over 36 thousand servicemen, who have become the basis of the management bodies and parts of the corps set. The transition to the corps system, according to Sirsky, has simplified the management system and significantly improved the controllability of the troops, which increases the effectiveness of planning and performing combat missions.
In December, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria announced that all corps have accepted their areas of responsibility, relieving the operational-tactical and operational-strategic groupings. The corps have already gained experience and are confidently conducting certain operations.
It was also reported that the General Staff has carried out large-scale work on the simultaneous preparation of all ten corps headquarters. The most experienced military personnel and instructors from partner countries were involved in the training.
