Peace talks between Russia and Ukraine are expected to be renewed today in Geneva with the mediation of the United States, the agencies reported, BTA reported.
The next round of discussions was preceded by two others in Abu Dhabi in January and early February. Diplomats are trying to find a way to end the conflict, almost four years after the start of the Russian invasion.
US special envoy Steve Witkoff is expected to attend the talks during today's busy day in Geneva, where in addition to Moscow and Kiev, the United States and Iran will also be negotiating.
According to the Kremlin, Russia's goal of the two-day talks will be to discuss the territorial issue with Ukraine.
However, for now, no solution to the military conflict is in sight. Kiev refuses to cede territory claimed by Russia, including parts of the Donetsk region that Ukraine still controls.

Bilateral Russian-American talks on economic relations are expected to take place in Geneva in parallel, the Russian presidency said.
Moscow has said it wants to end its war in Ukraine, but only on terms that are favorable to it. Kiev has so far rejected Russia's demands as unacceptable.
