Nearly 4,000 households in the Romanian counties of Prahova, Teleorman and Dambovita are without electricity due to bad weather, reported Digi24, citing the Department of Emergency Situations, BTA reported.

The adverse weather conditions during the day have led, in addition to power outages, to fallen trees and electricity poles, as well as to cars blocked on the roads. Earlier in the day, there were road closures, but currently only restrictions for heavy goods vehicles are in force on some road axes.

According to the information of the Department of Emergency Situations, in 16 settlements in six Romanian counties, as well as in Bucharest, five electric poles collapsed, 18 vehicles were damaged, and 88 vehicles were also unblocked, Digi24 also reported.

According to information from Agerpres, as of 2 p.m. local (and Bulgarian time), 46 vehicles with approximately 75 people remained blocked.

A ten-month-old baby who needed medical attention was transported to a hospital conscious, the agency also reported.
