Vice President of the United States J.D. Vance said today that ''there is no chance that possible US military attacks on Iran would lead to a multi-year war in the Middle East'', reports The Washington Post, quoted by Focus.
In an interview with The Washington Post, Vance said that US President Donald Trump is considering options - from military strikes to preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. According to him, however, a possible new attack would not involve the United States in a multi-year conflict.
“The idea that we would be at war in the Middle East for years with no end in sight - there is no way that is going to happen“, Vance believes.
