Israeli army: Iran has fired 125 missiles, 35 of which reached Israel - 1

Iran has fired 125 missiles at Israel since this morning, 35 of which reached Israel, the Israeli Internet portal Walla reported.

There are no further details yet.

Earlier, the Israeli humanitarian organization "Magen David Adom" reported, quoted by Agence France-Presse, about one person injured in the north of the country as a result of Iranian missile fire.

The Israeli army then announced that missiles fired from Iran had fallen in several places in the country.

Israel will call up about 70,000 reservists, mainly air defense specialists, a military spokesman said today, quoted by DPA.

"There will also be a strong presence on our borders," the spokesman told journalists.

Israel launched a joint military operation with the United States today, striking Iran.

The spokesman said the military was prepared for "different scenarios" regarding border protection and possible attacks on Israel by Iran's allies.

When asked how long the mobilization and deployment of Israeli troops would last, he replied: "As long as necessary."

The spokesman said that Iran had so far fired dozens of missiles at Israel, "but there were no serious hits".

As for the Israeli attacks on Iran, he said: "Initially, our strikes were directed at targets related to our freedom of action." Other strikes were "at sites of great importance, as well as at participants in the plan to "destroy Israel," he added, declining to provide details.
