The Houthis have threatened to resume attacks on ships in the Red Sea and against Israel, the Associated Press reported, citing two senior representatives of the Iran-backed Yemeni group, BTA reports.

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam warned that he would not allow anyone to drag "the country into adventures that threaten its security and unity".

Reuters defines this statement of his as a veiled allusion to "Hezbollah".

The leader of the Iranian-backed Lebanese movement, Naim Qassem, meanwhile, canceled his planned speech for today, which was to be broadcast on television.
