Russians put out fire at oil depot hit by drones near Krasnodar - 1

The fire caused by last night's Ukrainian drone attack on an oil depot near Tikhoretsk in southern Russia's Krasnodar region has been extinguished, regional authorities said, quoted by DPA.

The attack on the depot, which is located east of the Crimean peninsula, hundreds of kilometers from the front line, is the second in recent days.

“The fire caused by falling debris from a drone at the oil depot on the outskirts of Tikhoretsk has been completely extinguished,“ said a statement from local authorities, cited by TASS. There are no reports of casualties so far.

Two high-voltage power lines in the area were also damaged in the attack, according to regional authorities.

In response to the Russian invasion, the Ukrainian military is striking Russia's oil and gas sector with the aim of cutting off supplies to the Russian military and undermining the financing of the war through exports, DPA notes.
