The Ukrainian analytical portal DeepState, which monitors the situation on the front in real time, stated that Russian military personnel stormed the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near the settlement of Veterinarnoye in Kharkiv region and captured four fighters from one of the mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian army.
Subsequently, according to the project's analysts, these prisoners of war were shot by the Russian military.
DeepState published a video on Telegram that allegedly confirms the fact of the murder. The BBC has not verified its authenticity.
"Once again, the enemy violated the customs and rules of warfare - 4 Ukrainian prisoners of war were shot near Veterinarnoye in the Kharkiv region," DeepState said in a statement.
The Russian military did not comment on the case, and in the past the Russian Defense Ministry has ignored accusations against Russian troops of war crimes or violations of the Geneva Convention.
