25,000 Romanians traveled to Bulgaria for Easter: here's where they vacationed - 1

Over 25,000 Romanians traveled to Bulgaria for Easter, PRO TV reports in its report on the topic. They spent the series of weekends mainly at the sea - in Albena, Golden Sands or in Nessebar. Our northern neighbors are categorical that they find better prices and service in Bulgaria than in their homeland.

A PRO TV check shows that three nights on an "ultra all inclusive" basis for two people in a five-star hotel in Bulgaria cost just over 500 euros.

“You won't find anything for this money in Romania“, a man commented in the report.

The media correspondent reported that 90 percent of the tourists who stayed in Albena for Easter were Romanians.

“1,200 compatriots were accommodated in Golden Sands. As much as an entire village“, he added.

The managers of the hotel chains note that the Romanian tourist, who is already familiar with Bulgaria, has begun to develop preferences for the “ultra-inclusive service“ and looking for detox, spa, massage programs.

According to the latest data from the National Statistical Institute, Bulgaria recorded a record influx of Romanian tourists in 2025. Almost one million overnight stays in hotels and accommodation were registered from Romania, which represents an increase of 8.5 percent compared to 2024. This is the largest number of registrations of Romanian tourists, with an increase of 51.2 percent compared to 2019.
