The phone calls between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin leave many questions unanswered, said EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaia Kalas, quoted by Reuters, BTA reports.
"Of course we understand about these phone calls and then, as you know, there are always many unanswered questions, given that Russia openly praises the heroic fight that Iran is waging against America," Kalas told journalists in Estonia.
Kremlin foreign policy adviser Yuri Ushakov reported yesterday that Putin and Trump had a phone call in which the Russian leader presented ideas for resolving the dispute over Iran's nuclear program. Putin also proposed a temporary ceasefire in Ukraine to mark the anniversary of the end of World War II. The previous phone call between Trump and Putin took place on March 9 - nine days after the start of the US-Israeli strikes on Iran.
