The defenders of Odessa over the Black Sea shot down a rare and very expensive Russian drone "Forpost" - analogue of "Bayraktar".
This drone can carry out reconnaissance and attack ground targets, UNIAN recalls.
"The Air Force shot down one of the most expensive attack aircraft of the type "Forpost" - this is a Russian unmanned aerial vehicle, the price of which is about 7 million dollars.
It was shot down by the Odessa anti-aircraft missile brigade over the waters of the Black Sea.
This is such an unusual target, but we still managed to destroy it," said Air Force spokesman Ilya Evlash on the air of the telethon.
In his words, this drone can carry a different combat load and for a sufficiently long period of time can perform assigned combat tasks along the line of conflict.
"In some ways he looks like a clone of "Bayraktar".
