Located in the region of the Ural Mountains, the Orenburg Region, of which Orsk is a part, has suffered from floods in recent days.
In Orsk there was a breach of a dam wall. Residents of the city are being evacuated from homes in the flooded area, a source told Russian media.
At the same time, the government denies that the wall has been completely destroyed. The version of the authorities is that there is a small collapse in the section that was subjected to the strongest pressure. The volume of water discharged after the accident is increasing. Two deaths were also reported, but authorities say their deaths were not related to the dam wall breach.
