Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that does not know who is telling the truth regarding the crisis between Israel and Iran, Turkish media reported, quoted by BTA.
Right now, Israel and Iran are saying different things. No responsibility, no explanation. Iran's statements cannot be said to be telling the truth. The same cannot be said for Israel, Erdogan told reporters in Istanbul after Friday prayers.
At the same time, he accused the US of supporting Israel, noting that he did not expect anything else from Washington.
In the UN Security Council, we see the US siding with Israel. We didn't expect anything else and once again we have the opportunity to make sure of that, Erdogan said.
Earlier today, the Turkish Foreign Ministry called on Israel and Iran to refrain from steps that could escalate tensions between them into an ongoing conflict.
