Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he sees his upcoming meeting on May 13 with Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis as an "important stage" in the study of the possibilities for improving relations between Greece and Turkey, reported in "Kathimerini", quoted by BTA.
"The visit of Mitsotakis is a return visit. This is an important stage in our relationship. We will discuss how we can put them in a better position," the Turkish president said.
Yesterday in Brussels, Mitsotakis announced that his meeting with Erdogan will take place on May 13 in Ankara.
The previous meeting of the two leaders was in December 2023 in Athens, the publication reminds.
