Lebanese group “Hezbollah” announced yesterday that it had carried out a drone attack on an Israeli military position near the northern town of Metula, Reuters reported. Later, the Israeli army confirmed that two soldiers were killed in the attack, writes BTA.
The pro-Iranian organization also said it fired dozens of rockets across the Lebanese-Israeli border against military targets on Israeli territory.
Israel and the Lebanese group, which has amassed a huge arsenal since 2006, have traded daily blows for the past six months. This process runs parallel to the war between Israel and the Palestinian Islamist movement "Hamas" in the Gaza Strip.
Israel launched its military operation in Gaza after on October 7 last year, fighters of "Hamas" carried out an unprecedented attack on the Jewish state.
