Parts of Texas could be without power for days after the southern US state was hit from storms that caused the death of at least one person, the Associated Press reported, quoted by BTA.
A 16-year-old boy died the day before yesterday at a construction site northeast of Houston.
Three people, including a six-year-old boy, were injured at a campsite near the same town after being electrocuted when a wire broke, and are in a critical condition.
Streets were flooded in Houston and roofs blown off in Dallas.
At one point, more than 1 million households and non-residential customers in Texas were without power.
Most of them are expected to have power today. However, the electricity supply to some subscribers will probably not be restored until the weekend.
