A small but very expensive mistake! The Russian army lost hundreds of tanks and infantry fighting vehicles

Bild's open data analysis expert Julian Röpke comments the recording of the destruction of a Russian tank T-72 "turtle" in Ukraine.

This tank blew up on a mine and stopped, and the crew and soldiers abandoned it. Even after that, it is almost impossible to destroy such a tank. But when leaving the tank, the driver mechanic leaves open a small hatch under the barrel. A small Ukrainian kamikaze drone goes inside and blows up. If the hatch cover had been closed this would not have happened.

According to Röpke, this record is not isolated, the destruction of Russian armored vehicles in this way occurs almost daily. Hundreds of tanks, APCs and BMPs have already fallen victim to "open hatches". Bild's expert suggests that the Russian tankers are fleeing in panic from the machines hit by mines, so they don't think about closing the hatch.
