For the past seven months, Azerbaijan has produced 29.5 billion cubic meters of gas. Of these, 7.7 were mined from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli deposit, and 16.5 from Shah Deniz, the Ministry of Energy of the country announced, quoted by the Azerbaijani news agency AZERTAJ, BTA reports.
According to the ministry, “Absheron“ and the State Oil Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), produced 0.9 and 4.4 billion cubic meters of gas, respectively. 1.3 billion cubic meters more gas was transported compared to the same period last year.
During this period, gas sales amounted to about 14.7 billion cubic meters, which is 5.7% more compared to the same period of the previous year. In January-July this year, nearly 5.8 billion cubic meters of gas were sold to Turkey, 7. billion cubic meters to Europe and 1.4 billion cubic meters to Georgia. During this period, 3.3 billion cubic meters of gas were exported to Turkey through the Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline.
From its commissioning until August 1, 2024, more than 641.4 million tons of oil (including condensate) and 449.5 billion cubic meters of gas have been produced from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli and Shah Deniz. 594.4 million tons of oil and 224 billion cubic meters of gas were extracted from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli. About 225.5 billion cubic meters of gas and nearly 47 million tons of condensate have been extracted from Shah Deniz. So far, approximately 639.5 million tons of oil (including condensate) and about 160.7 billion cubic meters of gas have been exported.
