A bloody clash that left three men injured took place in the early hours of the day at a popular beach bar on the peninsula Halkidiki in Greece, and the reasons for the incident remain unknown, the Greek section of CNN reports. Greek media reports that it is about three Bulgarians.

According to information on the Greek portal “Focus Halkidiki“ the incident happened shortly before midnight in a beach bar in Hanioti (on the first arm of the peninsula – note ed.).

One man was wounded in the chest with a firearm, another was stabbed with a knife, and one suffered injuries from a beating, writes the Greek news portal thestival.gr, specifying that all three are Bulgarian citizens.

The injured were taken by ambulance to the health center in Kassandria, after which it was deemed necessary to transfer them to the hospital in Poligiros. The health condition of the shot man is assessed by doctors as “particularly serious”.

The police are collecting statements from eyewitnesses to establish the circumstances of the incident. It is believed that it is possible that people from the Bulgarian mafia are involved, the portal notes.

At the time of the brawl, there was a night of live music at the beach bar. The event caused panic among customers and staff. “Crying, screaming and yelling could be heard. People started running to save themselves. Everyone was leaving the restaurant. Knives were drawn and shots were fired. Small children ran with their parents. There was a panic, a woman who attended the event told thestival.gr, CNN writes.

Ioannis Kolokitas, a volunteer from the rescue service, provided first aid to the three injured, notes thestival.gr. He described what happened at the beach bar on social networks, accompanying it with footage of the incident.

Kolokitas wrote that he received a report of the incident around 12:00 p.m., then arrived on the scene two minutes later and began providing first aid to the man shot in the chest after receiving instructions from emergency services to deal with a gunshot wound.

The volunteer asked for two ambulances to be sent as there were two others injured "and one in particular, from the multiple blows to the head combined with the caustic spray, his vitals were BP 200 over 135 and pulse 165".

Kolokitas adds that there is no information about a dead person at the time of writing the post.
