"The operation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation is being carried out according to plan and may affect the situation in the Pokrov and Toretsk directions". This was commented by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, who was on a visit to Zaporozhye, reports Ukrinform.
"The Kursk operation is fulfilling its tasks and going according to plan. As for the difficulties of the Pokrovsky and Toretsky directions, we think that the Kursk operation can affect this as well. It is possible that there will be a de-escalation due to the reduction in the number of Russian troops. But it is still difficult there", commented the head of state of Ukraine.
He reminds that the main goal of Russia has always been "the complete occupation of Donbas and the largest number of combat brigades are concentrated there.
"There has been no progress there (on the Pokrovsk direction) for two days. This is what the chief of the army reported to me," adds Zelensky.
The President of Ukraine visited Zaporizhia together with the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Dick Skoff. He talked to war veterans and introduced a new app for students called "Mriya".
On September 2, DeepState analysts reported that Russian forces captured Dolinovka in the Donetsk region and were able to advance near Makeevka and Toretsk.
