New York Post endorsed Donald Trump - 1

Newspaper “Washington Post“ will not support either candidate in the US presidential election on November 5, and will also refrain from doing so in future elections, its executive director William Levis announced today, as quoted by Agence France-Presse.

„We are aware that this decision will give rise to many interpretations, that it will be perceived as hidden support for one of the candidates or rejection of another, or as an escape from responsibility. This is inevitable”, he wrote, although the largest American daily newspaper, owned by the founder of “Amazon” Jeff Bezos has endorsed Democratic presidential candidates in 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2020.

The decision comes after the owner of another major US daily, the Los Angeles Times, blocked the paper's editorial board's decision to endorse Kamala Harris and chose not to endorse either candidate.

In turn, the New York Post, a tabloid popular among conservatives and owned by Rupert Murdoch's media empire, published an editorial today urging people to vote for Donald Trump.

“Donald Trump is the right choice”, the daily wrote, listing the priorities for the future of the US: “secure border“, “safe cities“, “a thriving economy for all based on low taxes and regulations“, authority of parents and America, “respected on the world stage“.

Picking up the Republican camp's attacks on Kamala Harris, the New York newspaper claimed that the Democratic candidate is keeping her plans quiet and “doesn't want Americans to know how radical her agenda is”.

„Thank you for this wonderful support”, wrote Donald Trump on his social network “Truth Social” two days before a rally in the iconic hall “Madison Square Garden“ in New York.

This support comes as no surprise, but in recent years the “New York Post” was much harsher towards Donald Trump, AFP points out.

Among the more famous publications that supported Harris are the “New York Times“, “Boston Globe“, “New Yorker“, “Denver Post“, “Las Vegas Dream“, “Los Angeles Sentinel“ , "Seattle Times", "Star-Ledger", "Tennessee Tribune", "Scientific American" and “San Antonio Express", Fox News reported.

Support for Trump was expressed by the “New York Post”, Washington Times” and “Las Vegas Review Journal“.
