A Bulgarian citizen died in a serious accident between a bus and a truck in the Denizli district, Southwestern Turkey, CNN-Turk Turkish TV reported.
In the serious accident, 20 people were injured, three of whom are in a serious condition.
The disaster happened around 3 am. at night local time (2 a.m. Bulgarian time) on the Izmir-Denizli road. The bus traveled from the city of Didim (Aiden district) to the city of Alanya (Antalya district).
The bus collided sideways with a lorry leaving a gas station. Ambulances, as well as fire, police and gendarmerie teams were sent to the area of the incident. The injured people trapped in the bus were taken out by teams of firefighters and medics.
One of the passengers with the initials G. K. (with Bulgarian citizenship) died on the spot. The injured people have been admitted to various hospitals in the area. An investigation has been launched into the case.
This is another serious traffic accident in Turkey in recent times.
