< span>Donald Trump's lawyers cited US leader Joe Biden's order to pardon his son Hunter in their request to drop the lawsuit over the Trump Organization's falsification of financial documents in payments to the former porn actress Stormy Daniels, Fox News reported.
The media cited a document filed in a court in New York. Attorneys Todd Blanche and Emile Beauvais explained this requirement with the presidential immunity that applies to Trump.
The lawyers are convinced that this case "would never have been filed if not for Trump's political views and the political threat he poses to corrupt politicians in Washington and beyond."
In late May, Trump was found guilty on all 34 counts of financial fraud. He became the first former president in US history to be convicted of a crime by a jury. In November, Judge Juan Murchan agreed to postpone sentencing in the case.
