Ukrainian drone hit roof at a police barrack in the Russian Caucasian region of Chechnya early this morning and wounded four people, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov said, Reuters reported, citing BTA.
This is the second such incident in a week.
"The drone exploded in the air, damaged the roof and broke windows," Kadyrov wrote on the Telegram messaging app about the incident in the capital Grozny. "Falling fragments caused a small fire which was quickly extinguished."
Four members of a unit guarding the site received minor injuries. A video posted by Kadyrov shows broken windows.
The Chechen leader is a staunch supporter of Moscow's war and has sent his forces into Ukraine, some 1,000km away, to fight alongside Russian forces.
Last week, Kadyrov said a drone had hit the roof of a police facility, although it was unclear if the same building was hit.
In October, the roof of a military training center in the Chechen city of Gudermes was set on fire in what appeared to be the first Ukrainian drone attack targeting Chechnya since the war began in February 2022, Reuters said.
