Russian air defense systems have thwarted a series of Ukrainian drone attacks, Russian authorities said early today, as quoted by DPA.
A total of 56 drones were destroyed in the attacks, with 28 downed in the Voronezh region, 11 in the Belgorod region and 17 in the Rostov region, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
In the Belgorod region, two residents were injured by shrapnel, local authorities reported. DPA notes that this information cannot be independently confirmed.
Ukraine is increasingly using drones as part of its defense against Russia, whose troops invaded Ukrainian territory in February 2022.
