About 300 North Koreans have been killed and 2,700 wounded in the war in Ukraine, a South Korean lawmaker who was briefed by the intelligence agency said today, Reuters reported, BTA reported.
Citing data from the National Intelligence Service, the lawmaker said that North Korean authorities appear to have urged their soldiers to blow themselves up to avoid being captured.
The captured North Korean soldiers have not shown interest in being taken to South Korea, although Seoul would cooperate with Ukraine on this issue if there is such a request, Yonhap news agency reported.
Yesterday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky shared a video recording of the interrogation of captured North Korean soldiers and said that Kiev is ready to handed them over to Pyongyang in exchange for Ukrainian soldiers captured in Russia, Ukrinform reported.
