Trump to Fight Inflation with Increased Oil and Gas Production - 1

US President Donald Trump said his administration will fight inflation by increasing oil and gas production, reducing regulatory restrictions and recalibrating the international trading system.

This was written by the head of state on Wednesday on the social network Truth Social.

„Since Jay Powell and the Federal Reserve have failed to stop the inflation problem they created, I will do so by unblocking American energy production, cutting regulations, rebalancing international trade and reviving American manufacturing. But I will do much more than stop inflation; "I will make our country strong again, financially and otherwise," he wrote.

Meanwhile, Trump signed an executive order to combat anti-Semitism, promising to deport stateless foreign students and others who participated in pro-Palestinian protests, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

A fact sheet accompanying the order promises "immediate action" by the Justice Department to prosecute individuals for "terrorist threats, arson, vandalism and violence against American Jews" and to mobilize all federal resources to combat, according to the text, "the sharp increase in anti-Semitism on our campuses and streets" following the October 7, 2023, attack by the Palestinian Islamist movement "Hamas" against Israel.

"To all foreign residents who have joined the pro-jihadist protests, we warn you: starting in 2025, we will find you and deport you," Trump said in the leaflet.

"I will also quickly cancel the student visas of all Hamas sympathizers on college campuses, which are infected with radicalism like never before," the US president added, repeating one of his campaign promises from the 2024 race.

Human rights activists and lawyers have noted that the new measure would violate constitutional rights to free speech and is likely to trigger a number of legal challenges.
