US President Donald Trump said he discussed Russian and Ukrainian demands and needs for a peace agreement in an hour-long call with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky today, Reuters and the Associated Press reported.
"A large part of the discussion was based on yesterday's call with President (of Russia) Vladimir Putin to reconcile the demands and needs of Russia and Ukraine," Trump wrote in a post on his social network "Truth Social".
"We are very much on the right track," Trump stressed, adding that he had asked Secretary of State Marco Rubio and White House National Security Advisor Mike Walz to provide more details about the conversation in an upcoming statement.
