The number of victims of the Russian ballistic missile strike on the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region, has increased to 14, including 5 children, Ukrinform reported, citing local authorities, BTA reports.
"There is already information about 14 people killed as a result of the missile strike in Kryvyi Rih", wrote in the "Telegram" application the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak, adding that the number of wounded continues to grow.
According to Oleksandr Vikul, head of the city's Defense Council, five children are among the victims.
"There is a playground near the place hit by the missile," he explained.
According to initial information, the Russian strike was aimed at a residential area in the center of Kryvyi Rih, Ukrinform notes. The wounded are over 50.
Russia launched a ballistic missile strike on a plant in Kryvyi Rih, the hometown of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, on Wednesday, killing four people and wounding 17.
