US President Donald Trump will withdraw from the talks on the war in Ukraine soon. This was stated by military analyst Michael Clarke to Sky News.
The expert believes that Trump will leave the talks “within a few weeks“, because he can get nothing out of them. The Trump administration hoped to quickly end Russia's war against Ukraine, but this turned out to be a difficult task.
Michael Clarke also said that Trump will now focus his energy on other issues, not on what is happening in Ukraine. “There is a parting of ways between the United States and Europe that could play out at the NATO summit in the Netherlands in late June,“ the analyst said.
It has been 100 days since Trump took office as US president, but he has still failed to end the war he planned to stop “in 24 hours“.
US President Donald Trump is frustrated with the pace of talks to end the war in Ukraine and President Volodymyr Zelensky is moving in the wrong direction in terms of negotiations, White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt said yesterday, quoted by Reuters. “The president is frustrated. His patience is almost exhausted. He wants to do what is right for the world. He wants to see peace. He wants the killing to stop, but both sides of the war have to be willing to do that“, Levitt told reporters at the White House, BTA reported. “And unfortunately, President Zelensky seems to be moving in the wrong direction“, she added.
"Enough is enough: the President is frustrated, his patience is running very thin, he wants to do what's right for the world, he wants to see peace, he wants to see the killing stop, but you need both sides of the war willing to do that“ - WH Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt. https://t.co/SuQMsXihfo pic.twitter.com/bzVHzu58Bn
