After a working meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov announced that he was carrying out his order to continue his work. He called the past meeting productive, TASS reports.
"Our work with our president was productive. In conclusion, Vladimir Vladimirovich, commenting on the latest discussions on the Internet, once again quoted Mark Twain's famous words: "Rumors about my death are greatly exaggerated".
He added that we still have a lot of work to do. I am carrying out the order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief", Kadyrov wrote on his Telegram channel.
On May 7, a meeting was held between Kadyrov and Putin in Moscow. The head of the republic was in the Kremlin as part of a delegation for a series of international negotiations. They are dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
Earlier, local media reported that Kadyrov had spoken about a request to be relieved of his post as head of Chechnya and expressed hope that it would be supported. Later, he wrote on his Telegram channel that many did not understand the meaning of his words about the resignation. Kadyrov noted that the decision on this issue is made only by the president.
