Arson suspected at property of Prime Minister Keir Starmer - 1

British police have arrested a 21-year-old man on suspicion of arson after counter-terrorism services launched an investigation into three separate fires, including one at a property linked to Prime Minister Keir Starmer. This was reported by Reuters, BTA reports.

A fire broke out in the early hours of yesterday at a property located in Kentish Town, a district in the London borough of Camden – the same constituency that Starmer represents in Parliament. The man was arrested early this morning in connection with this incident, as well as two others – a car fire in the same area on 8 May and a fire at the entrance to a property in a neighbouring area on 11 May.

The suspect remains in custody, charged with arson causing danger to life.

Due to the connection of one of the properties affected to a high-profile public figure, the investigation has been taken over by the Metropolitan Police's Counter Terrorism Unit. Keir Starmer and his family lived in the affected home on a quiet street in Kentish Town before he moved to 10 Downing Street after becoming Prime Minister in July last year.
