Friedrich Merz: Germany ready to seize frozen Russian assets

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that the country is ready to seize frozen Russian assets if the law allows it, Reuters reports.

In an interview with the newspaper "Die Zeit", Merz said that the possible confiscation of Russian property is currently subject to legal checks.

"If there is a legal basis for activating these funds, we will do it", the German Chancellor said.
