A number of Western countries are already losing immunity to the "brown plague" that developed after World War II. This was stated by Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in a video message to participants in the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum (PILF), TASS reports.
"Unfortunately, today a number of Western countries are losing the remnants of their immunity to the "brown plague" that developed as a result of the suffering and misery brought by the war. Failure to comply with the basic principles of the UN Charter, such as the sovereign equality of states and non-interference in their internal affairs, is a blow to the legacy of the Victory," he said.
The Minister called the West's "ignorance of the results of the Nuremberg Tribunal, including the glorification of Nazi collaborators" a betrayal and an insult to the memory of the countless victims of Nazism.
"We must continue to jointly oppose any attempts to falsify history, glorify Nazi criminals and their accomplices, and resolutely oppose the revision of the internationally recognized results of World War II. I am glad that the overwhelming majority of members of the international community are in solidarity with us in this endeavor. The result of the vote on the annual Russian draft resolution at the UN General Assembly to combat the glorification of Nazism is proof of this," Lavrov concluded.
