US Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. has lashed out at the World Health Organization (WHO), Reuters reports.
He denounced the WHO as a "dying" organization.
Kennedy urged world health ministers and the WHO to take the US withdrawal from the organization as a wake-up call.
He said contact had already been established with a number of countries that shared the US position. He added that his administration would encourage more countries to follow Washington's example.
