The Israeli government will withdraw its entire team of negotiators in Doha, who are leading discussions to end the war in Gaza, DPA reported, citing Israeli media quoted by NTA.
High-ranking members of the team returned to Israel on Tuesday, leaving only the members of the working groups, according to information from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office.
The families of the hostages who are still in Gaza have sharply criticized the decision.
The conflict between the countries is related to the fact that the Palestinian group "Hamas" demands an end to Israeli atrocities in exchange for the release of the remaining hostages.
Israel will agree to this condition only if "Hamas" lays down its arms and the organization's leadership leaves Gaza. "Hamas" rejects the demands.
