Thieves who broke into an apartment in Thessaloniki are in hospital after jumping from a balcony in an attempt to escape when they were discovered by a neighbor, reports “Proto tema“, BTA reported.
The incident with the unfortunate thieves took place yesterday in the Thessaloniki district of Sikias. The two victims entered the apartment and tried to steal a pearl necklace. However, they were noticed by a neighbor and, in their attempt to escape from the crime scene, jumped from the balcony.
However, they apparently misjudged the height, because after their jump they ended up in hospital. One of the two is still being treated there under guard.
In addition to them, another accomplice was detained in the case, who was waiting for them nearby in a car. All three are foreign citizens.
