Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed at a meeting with journalists that he has an invitation to the G-7 summit, which will be held in Canada, Ukrinform reported, BTA reported.
Regarding participation in the NATO summit, Zelensky said that "it is very important for Ukraine to understand in what format it can be presented". "G-7: I was invited by Prime Minister (of Canada) Carney. He is the chairman. And I will be there. As for the EU, I think I will also be there in one format or another, we do not have such challenges there," Zelensky said.
As for the NATO summit, according to the Ukrainian president, the alliance's Secretary General Mark Rutte said that the member states "would very much like Ukraine to be present" (at the summit).
"And for Ukraine it is very important to understand in what format it can be represented. There are many different signals regarding NATO," Zelensky said.
The G7 summit will be held in Kananaskis in the province of Alberta, in Canada, on June 15-17. The NATO summit will be held in The Hague on June 24-25.
