US President Donald Trump said today that both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky are stubborn, in the context of his attempts to negotiate an end to the war in Ukraine, Reuters reported, BTA reported.
Asked during his joint press conference in the Oval Office today with outgoing White House CEO Elon Musk whether he really considered Putin stubborn, Trump said he was surprised and disappointed by Russia's bombing of Ukraine while he was trying to help broker a ceasefire.
On the other hand, Donald Trump said that in connection with the video that gives the impression that Emmanuel Macron was punched in the face by his wife Brigitte before the two get off the plane in the Vietnamese capital Hanoi, the French president has advised in such cases to "always make sure the door is closed first", Reuters reported.
When asked about the case, the US president said he had spoken to his French counterpart after the video was released and that "he is fine".
Trump also said he would speak to Chinese leader Xi Jinping and hoped the two would iron out their differences on trade and tariffs.
"I'm sure I'll talk to President Xi and we'll iron that out", Trump said in the Oval Office today.
