Overnight, the city of Belgorod-Dnestrovsk in the Ukrainian Odessa region was subjected to a Russian air attack with drones, the chairman of the Odessa regional military administration Oleg Kiper announced in the "Telegram" application, BTA reported.

"Despite the active work of the Ukrainian air defense forces, there is damage to civilian infrastructure. In particular, Russian forces destroyed the local emergency medical station. Fortunately, there were no injuries. Seven ambulances were put out of action, 6 of which were destroyed, and one ambulance was completely burned down," Kiper's statement said.

According to the regional governor, the emergency medical service station served the city of Belgorod-Dnestrovsk and four surrounding villages with a total of about 65,000 residents. Emergency medical care for the population will be provided by brigades located in other permanent bases.

Emergency services are eliminating the consequences of the Russian air strike with drones on site.

The Bulgarians in the Odessa region number over 150,000 people and are the third largest according to the official census in Ukraine in 2001. About 50-60 thousand Bulgarians live in the city of Odessa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolgrad, Izmail and Belgorod-Dniester regions.
