Iran will observe the ceasefire if Israel does too, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said today, quoted by Agence France-Presse, BTA reports.
The agreement was announced by US President Donald Trump. Israel and Iran subsequently accused each other of violating it.
Trump called on both sides to respect the ceasefire.
Israel then announced that it had refrained from further strikes on Iran, following a phone call between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the US president.
"If the Zionist regime does not violate the ceasefire, Iran will not violate it either," Pezeshkian later said in a phone call with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.
