A bus carrying nearly 60 Ukrainian citizens crashed last night on its way out of the village of Tariverde towards Constanta, the Agerpres agency reported, citing the district Inspectorate for Emergency Situations. A car was also involved in the incident, BTA reported.
18 specialized teams from the SMURD Mobile Emergency Medical Service, the District Emergency Medical Service and the fire department arrived at the scene of the incident. A "red code for intervention" was activated, and traffic on national road 22 was stopped in both directions.
According to the District Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, no one died in the incident.
The bus was carrying 37 women, eight men and nine children.
According to initial data from the District Inspectorate of Police in Constanta, the bus driver lost control of the vehicle, which overturned off the roadway. The driver will be subjected to an alcohol test.
