German Foreign Minister Johann Waddeful arrived in Kiev this morning for a visit, where he will discuss support for Ukraine in the war against Russia, DPA reported, BTA reported.
This is his first visit to Ukraine since taking office last month.
"We remain firmly on the Ukrainian side, so that it can continue to defend itself successfully - with modern air defense and other weapons, with humanitarian and economic aid," Waddeful said in a statement.

“Russia directly threatens our peaceful and free life in Germany,“ Waddeful told the media group “Funke“ in an interview published on Sunday. He described Russia's war against Ukraine as the biggest security threat in Europe and the most important issue in German foreign policy.
Vadeful welcomed the recent decisions of NATO at the summit in The Hague, where the alliance countries agreed to increase defense spending to 5% of gross domestic product, and called the step “correct and necessary”.
