A Ukrainian military officer said that the US and EU fear Russia's defeat in the war it launched against Ukraine.
Ivan Tymochko, chairman of the Council of Reservists of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, told ukr.radio that destabilizing processes will occur on Russian territory if Vladimir Putin loses the war.
Tymochko said that Europe, the US, China and 15 other countries border the Russian Federation. According to him, none of them would want chaotic processes near their borders.
If Putin loses the war against Ukraine, tensions will also arise in the Russian Federation on a religious basis, the Ukrainian military officer said. The other reason is nuclear weapons. According to him, in the event of serious chaos in Russia, in conditions of weakened central power, control over the nuclear arsenal will also weaken.
Russia is a nuclear power, which currently has nearly 5,000 nuclear warheads. Timochko believes that in the event of Russia's collapse, one of its neighbors may make territorial claims.
